Püre

Why did Püre choose Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl)?

When we started our journey towards finding the perfect disinfectant for you and your family we had two main criteria:

  1. Find a disinfectant for you that is highly effective so you can rest assured that any harmful pathogen in your environment will be taken care of.
  2. Find a disinfectant that is safe for you and your family. A disinfectant that is not only natural but also hypoallergenic.

And through rigorous search we finally found the perfect disinfectant - a naturally occurring yet highly potent chemical called hypochlorous acid (HOCL).

HOCL is a disinfectant chemical that is produced in our bodies to fight invading pathogens this means that even though HOCL is highly dangerous for harmful pathogens, it is extremely safe for human cells. HOCL is produced by our defense cells called neutrophils as a first line of defense.

Quick Facts:

  • This is considered “Nature’s Sanitizer”
  • In designated concentration that is safe for humans and both have EPA approval for effectiveness specifically against SARS-CoV-2
  • HOCl is the scientific formula for hypochlorous acid, a weak acid similar to that of a mild citrus juice.
  • HOCl is made naturally by white blood cells in all mammals for healing and protection.
  • HOCl is a powerful oxidant that is effective against invading bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
  • HOCl is now used in healthcare, food safety, water treatment, and general sanitation.

Now you must be wondering, so if HOCL is produced by cells in our body how are we going to help you make your own HOCL solution?

How are we going to help you make your own HOCL solution?

Luckily, HOCl can be produced using simple house-hold staples including salt, vinegar, water and a fun little chemistry experiment involving electricity. As this is a chemistry experiment proportions of the ingredients (salt and vinegar) are very important to obtain pure HOCL.

  • NaCI table salt
  • H2O Water
  • Electricity
  • HOCL Hypochlorous acid

Thanks to years of dedicated efforts from scientists and doctors we were not just able to understand HOCL’s mode of action but were also able to verify its efficiency and potency of HOCL. As HOCL is a natural disinfectant, it is commonly used in hospitals to treat burns and open wounds.
